Steps Ahead started reunion tour in Summer of 1999 that is their 20th aniversary. The band is like they stared in 1979 as acoustic band original Steps. Also their debut album "Smokin' In The Pit" that was live recorded at Roppongi Pit Inn, Tokyo featuring Michael Brecker, Don Grolnick, Eddie Gomez and Steve Gadd, has been reissued with unreleased tracks from Mike Mainieri's own label NYC Records. This time we present you an interview with Mike as well as discography of Steps Ahead.
