It was a few years ago when Average White Band played in good shape at Blue Note Tokyo. Then "Shine" CD was reissued. This is a long waited new album of the middle aged band with unyeilding spirit. When the band played in Tokyo, they emphasized on white funk and blue eyed soul sound rather than A.O.R.. This album is also very soulful rather than smooth like A.O.R or N.A.C. sound. But the CD still contain a song like "When We Get Down To It" that reminds me of "Shine" and can be on a hit chart. It is enjoyable both by old and new fans.
* The revival of A.W.B.!! But when can we listen to the next one??
